Welcome to Croydon Makers & Creators - and welcome to our new website!

Croydon Makers & Creators (CMC) is a growing network of artists, makers, and cultural organisers rooted in Croydon. We exist to support the people shaping culture locally, whether you’re just starting out or have been working here for years.

CMC emerged from Croydon’s Borough of Culture year, but it is now community-led and focused on what we need as a sector to continue to be supported and supportive long time. We want to build stronger connections, share resources more openly, and create the conditions for creative work to happen and endure in Croydon.

Now Arts Council Project Grant funded, we’ll be running activities designed to be useful, not just visible. Gatherings will bring people together across disciplines and backgrounds. Boring Club offers space for the practical side of creative work, from funding to planning. Alongside this, we’ve got our ‘Clash Calendar’ events calendar to make activity across the borough easier to see, connect into and avoid clashes (or lean in to them for collaborating).

This website is a place to find out what’s happening, share your own work, access our shared resources and of course share with prospective new members! Over time, it will grow with the network.
